LOS ANGELES, CA — On September 20, 2023, music enthusiasts were treated to an enchanting evening of soul-stirring melodies as the internationally renowned and ever-evolving classical crossover BREAKING HITS artist Sangeeta Kaur took center stage at the GRAMMY Museum Terrace. The event, titled “AURORA – Sangeeta Kaur in Concert,” delivered a one-of-a-kind musical experience that transcended boundaries and ignited the spirit.

Evolving classical crossover artist Sangeeta Kaur has recently graced the world with her latest New Age album, “Aurora.” This musical masterpiece promises listeners a beacon of hope and is sure to stir emotions of cosmic love across the universe. “Aurora” marks Kaur’s sixth career album release, following her triumphant Grammy® win for “Best Classical Solo Performance” on the album “Mythologies” in 2022, making her the first performer of Vietnamese origin to clinch a Grammy® Award in this esteemed category.

While Kaur remains faithful to her operatic roots on most of the album’s ten tracks, the influence of pop producer Shridhar Solanki is unmistakable, particularly on classical crossover tracks like “Distant Shores” and “Flashback.”

Veteran recording engineer Gerhard Joost, himself a Grammy® winner, returns to the console for “Aurora,” continuing his longstanding partnership with Kaur on all her albums.

“Aurora” stands as a milestone in Kaur’s discography as it was the first of her albums recorded at Studio Hill in Austin, a state-of-the-art recording facility co-owned by Kaur and her husband Hai Nguyen. Joost, a celebrated industry veteran, is also a partner in Studio Hill and serves as the in-house Chief Recording Engineer.

Kaur’s session players are a lineup of highly acclaimed musicians, most of whom are Grammy® Award winners themselves. This exceptional ensemble includes violinist Nathalie Bonin, percussionist M.B. Gordy, bassist Mark Gorman, guitarist Andrew Synowiec, pianist Van Anh Nguyen, and cellist Eru Matsumoto.

Fans of classical, crossover, spiritual, and New Age music will find much to savor in Kaur’s new material, with standout tracks like “Starlight,” a spiritual classic where Kaur’s searing vocals seem to make time stand still.

Kaur, a classically trained soprano who was recently featured on PBS’s Front and Center series, has crafted “Aurora” with the intention of bringing beauty and peace to an otherwise chaotic world.

In addition to this extraordinary album release, the AURORA concert provided a rare opportunity for music lovers to witness Sangeeta Kaur’s extraordinary talent live in Los Angeles. The special performance featured a blend of her most celebrated compositions, showcasing the depth and versatility of her artistry.

Sangeeta Kaur’s music transcended cultural and linguistic boundaries, creating a unifying experience that resonated with attendees of all backgrounds. Her powerful vocals, combined with emotive storytelling, transported the audience to a world of profound emotions and musical exploration.

In addition to the captivating music, attendees enjoyed the unique ambiance of the GRAMMY Museum Terrace, which provided a stunning backdrop for an unforgettable evening. With the Los Angeles skyline as a backdrop and stars overhead, the event delivered a magical atmosphere for all in attendance.

And for fans eagerly awaiting a chance to experience Sangeeta Kaur’s magic live, she has an upcoming show in Austin on September 26th, promising an unforgettable evening of musical enchantment.
